Located on the south coast of Sicily, around 25km from Agrigento lies Passofonduto. In 2015 Giuseppe Cipolla decided to plant vines such as Cataratto, Zibbibo, Nero d'Avola and Nerello Mascalese on a small plot of family owned land. Along with this plot Giuseppe makes small batch minimal intervention wines from 2 other vineyards with an average vine age of 40 years.
Le Robbe is 80%Nero D’avola grapes and other 20% native white grapes varieties of Passofonduto and Torre del Salto d’Angio’ district, assembled to offer a global idea about the territory. Grapes are destemmed and fermented in small wine vessels with maceration on the skins depending on the Cuvèe variation period, from one to three days
