With an altitude from 400-480m Bricco del Viole or Hill of Violets is the highest vineyard in Barolo and is one fo the last vineyards to be picked. It receives first sunrise and last sunset and produces a wine that is almost ethereal in its bright perfume and energy. Austere in its youth, this is definitely one for the cellar.
