Declared by Antonio Galloni of Vinous as 'one of the most under-the-radar producers Piedmont', Fratelli Alessandria craft authentic wines of place, with an emphasis on freshness and drinkability even in the Barolos. The fruit for the Favorita comes from three vineyards: Boscatto, Semolino and Sotto Orti – with an average altitude of 300 m above sea level. Average vine age of 35 years, soils are calcareous and silt. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel before one or two months in bottle. ‘Bright and fresh with lots of fruit concentration.
