Il Guercio translates to one eyed rascal referring to winemaker Sean O' Callaghan's blindness in one eye which he believes gives him a unique perspective on wine & life. The 2019 is an ethereal and lifted expression of Sangiovese from a single, high elevation vineyard. Supple and aromatic, with red berries, crushed mint, and cranberry on the super-expressive nose. The palate is both plush and bright, with red currant, strawberry, wild herbs, and an incredible balance.
