Sourced only from the Dash Farms site on the southern ridge of Leangarook. The site sits at a lofty 475 metres elevation and has a north-south row orientation. The soils are rich in decomposed granite lying over a granite bedrock and the I clone vines were planted in the 1990s. Pat took a slightly more experimental approach to the vinification of this wine. The fruit was handpicked over four tries and each batch fermented separately in a variety of oak vessels – new, old, big, small, French and Slavonian – without additions. Each parcel was racked in January of 2022, then blended and bottled.
