Plums, cherries, rhubarb, vanilla lead into firm & salivating tannins, with slight spice, tobacco-ish herbal notes and gaminess. There's a lively / briskness to the acid line and an ever so sweeter core to the fruit profile – this is again due to the small seedless berries – boosting the alcohol, but the wine drinks more in the early 13% range in terms of phenolic maturity, acid and fruit profile. - Winemaker Notes
